In 2009 Steklov Mathematical Institute celebrates its 75th anniversary. It will be organized different scientific events, dedicated to this anniversary.

Among them: The International Conference of Steklov Institute Members, working outside Russia (Steklov Institute, Moscow, June 5–6, 2009), The Internatinal Conference "Contemporary Mathematics" (Steklov Institute, Moscow, June 8 and 10, 2009 and St.-Petersburg Branch of Steklov Institute, St.-Petersburg, June 11–12, 2009), The Festival of Mathematics for Youngsters (Steklov Institute, Moscow, June 9, 2009) and The Discussion Round Table "Mathematics and Society" (Steklov Institute, Moscow, June 9, 2009).

The International Conference of Steklov Institute Members, working outside Russia, will take place at Steklov Institute in Moscow on June 5–6, 2009. We expect that Steklov Institute members, having their current scientific positions abroad will give talks on their research. We expect that participants of this conference will also take part in the next conference "Contemporary Mathematics".
Arrival day for the conference: June 4, 2009.
Departure day for those who cannot participate in the conference "Contemporary Mathematics": June 7, 2009.

The International Conference "Contemporary Mathematics" will take place at Steklov Institute in Moscow on June 8 and 10, 2009 and in St.-Petersburg Branch of Steklov Institute in St.-Petersburg on June 11–12 2009. The scientific program of this conference will consist of a short number of invited talks (we plan to have about 15 talks altogether in Moscow and St.-Petersburg) by famous Russian and foreign mathematicians, as well as several talks by Russian outstanding young mathematicians. On June 9 (morning session) we organize The Festival of Mathematics for Youngsters with direct Internet translation to St.-Petersburg Branch of Steklov Institute. On June 9 there also will be The Discussion Round Table "Mathematics and Society". The opening day of the conference on June 8 will take place at the President Hall of Russian Academy of Sciences (Leninskii prospect, 32A), the other two days the meetings will be in Steklov Institute building (Gubkina 8).
Arrival day for the conference: June 7, 2009.
